We also know that a flatter top tube for easy portage and the right geometry are essential to winning any race. The 2013 Diamondback Steilacoom CCX is the perfect embodiment of everything Northwest. It’s well-equipped to tackle any single track, mud field, sand pit, staircase, hurdle or inclement weather between the starting gate and the finish line. At the core is the DBR CX Fully Butted 7005 Alloy Competition Cyclocross frame with formed top tube and an integrated headtube. The frame is light and durable which is something that we look for in a cross bike. The formed top tube features a flat bottom for easy portage over any hurdle. Paired well with the frame is a DBCX carbon fork that’s exceptionally strong and stiff. With an alloy steerer and clearance for larger tires and fenders, the fork is a versatile and exceptional addition.
